HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HIKE MOUNT BISOKE
mountain Bisoke hiking is the most memorable tourism activity in Rwanda. Bisoke Peak has a spectacular crater lake offering endless views. Climbing Mount Bisoke can take approximately 6–7 hours to reach the summit, including the 2 hours spent returning down to the hiking starting point. Experienced mountain climbers can take only 3 hours or even less to climb and return to the starting point in an hour’s time.
Mount Bisoke hiking day, hikers are expected at Volcanoes National Park Headquarters in Kinigi by 7:00 a.m. so that they can attend the hiking morning briefing, and each hiker is assigned to a local park ranger who will guide them. The park rangers are the indigenous people of Volcanoes National Park, which makes them experienced with mountain adventures.
Mount Bisoke adventure begins at 8:00 a.m., when your tour guide will take you to the hiking starting point. You will be given porters to help you carry the baggage. Hikers will always be given hiking gear.
