Bwindi impenetrable forest national park has several waterfalls in both the northern and southern sectors where tourists can participate in nature walks to the picturesque waterfalls. The waterfall hike is guided through the park; travelers may be able to see different bird species, monkeys, baboons, antelopes, elephants, beautiful butterflies, and a few spiders on their way. 

 

Munyaga River Falls:

The Ivy River Trail takes you to an old road through Bwindi impenetrable forest which takes a full day’s hike with elevation gain and is a fabulous experience. Travelers always take this trail during a mountain gorilla trek; it is the most scenic route with many things to be viewed along the way, such as bush pigs, monkeys, butterflies, birds, and local communities on the way to and from the market. The Ivy Trail can be taken from Nkuringo to Buhoma and takes about 7-8 hours.

 

Kashasha River Trail:

Kashasha River trail takes about 4 to 5 hours. Once you see the ancient tropical rainforest up close, this trail contains steeper inclines, especially when you take it from Buhoma to Nkuringo route. Your tour guide will point out all the habitats such as birds, flowers, plants, ferns, and trees that are stunning.
