Buhoma sector is the most popular sector for mountain gorilla trekkers, consisting of four mountain gorilla groups that are habituated. Buhoma mountain groups include the Mubare mountain gorilla family, the Habinyanja gorilla family, the Nkuringo gorilla family, and the Rushegura gorilla group. Buhoma Sector has many comfortable and affordable accommodation facilities like Buhoma Community Rest Camp, Silverback Lodge, Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, CTPH Gorilla Conservation, and Buhoma Lodge.

NKURINGO SECTOR IN THE SOUTH 

Nkuringo sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park has mountain gorilla groups like the Virunga gorilla group; it got its name from a Rukiga word meaning round hill. Nkuringo sector has accommodation facilities that are affordable, such as Cloud's Mountain Gorilla Lodge, Nshongi Camp, Nkuringo Gorilla Camp, and Chameleon Hill Camp.

RUHIJA SECTOR IN THE EAST

Ruhija sector of Bwindi impenetrable forest national park has mountain gorilla groups, which include the Bitukura gorilla group, which was named after a river where they were first seen and consists of 12 members, 4 silverbacks, the Oruzogo gorilla family, the Mukiza gorilla family, and the Kyaguliro mountain gorilla family. Ruhija sector contains accommodations such as Ruhija gorilla mist camp, Ruhija gorilla safari lodge, Ruhija gorilla Resort, and Trekkers Tavern mist camp.

RUSHAGA SECTOR IN THE SOUTH

Rushaga sector of Bwindi impenetrable forest national park is composed of four mountain gorilla families, which include the Nshongi gorilla family, Bweza gorilla family, Mishaya gorilla family, and Kahungye gorilla family. Visitors can be accommodated at Gorilla Safari Lodge and Chameleon Hill Lodge.
